The father

Director: Jack Allen Keech

Blinded by ambitions to fix her past, a naive Federal Officer breaks ranks to apprehend a dangerous radical cult leader, and must race against a clandestine Government Agency before they assassinate him and rob her of any chance at redemption.

The Father was an awesome collaboration of creativity to try and find a unique sound to encapsulate a terrorist cult. I created these sounds by utilising vocal samples of Gregorian chants, Mongolian throat singing and Koala mating calls manipulating the various effects through use of distortion, EQ and other techniques. It gave the themes of the film depth and impact in regards to story beats and characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this level of experimentation and whacky methods to create something unique to this film.
